Recap: Cross Schools Stingrays vs. Step of Faith Christian Academy Chargers
The Cross Schools Stingrays had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Step of Faith Christian Academy by a score of 69-60 on Friday. The victory was just what Cross Schools needed coming off of a 96-71 defeat in their prior game.
Cross Schools got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Fulda out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jose David Garcia, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Cross Schools' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Step of Faith Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Holly Hill Academy the next time they take the court. Cross Schools will head out to face Holly Hill Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Step of Faith Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
