Football Game Preview: Las Vegas Wildcats vs. Shadow Ridge Mustangs

Las Vegas is 0-3 against Shadow Ridge since February of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Las Vegas Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 4:30 p.m.

Las Vegas is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They fell 26-19 to Palo Verde. One positive for the Wildcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Aggies as they made off with a 26-6 win. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Shadow Ridge's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points per game. As for Las Vegas, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Las Vegas lost to Shadow Ridge at home by a decisive 38-19 margin in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Thankfully for Las Vegas, Kyla Moore (who rushed for 237 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
