Recap: North Forrest Eagles vs. Collins Tigers
The North Forrest Eagles lost against the Collins Tigers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. North Forrest fell 50-39 to the Tigers. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Forrest in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.
Collins was led to victory by Jaylen Willingham and Latreyveon Lowe. Willingham scored 12 points along with four steals, while Lowe dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. Lowe has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan White, who scored five points along with five rebounds and four steals.
North Forrest now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Collins, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
North Forrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Collins will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Mississippi (Richton is ranked 113th, while the Tigers are ranked 97th).
