Baseball Recap: Millard West Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Millard West's win against Gretna wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats beat the Dragons on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won four matches in a row.

Colton Williams looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jackson Thiel was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 13 contests.

Millard West's record now sits at 14-9. As for Gretna, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-10.

Millard West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Elkhorn South on the 26th. As for Gretna, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-3 loss against Papillion-LaVista South on the 26th.
