Southwest DeKalb is 10-0 against Clarkston since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Southwest DeKalb has four straight victories, Clarkston has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Southwest DeKalb's tournament run continued when they took on Clark two weeks ago. The stars were shining brightly for Southwest DeKalb in a 52-35 win over Clark. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 16th in Georgia, while the Eagles are ranked 217th in Illinois), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kelvin Peek, III was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 7 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Ushery, who posted eight points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Clarkston took a blow against North Springs two weeks ago, falling 78-34.

Southwest DeKalb's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Clarkston, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Everything came up roses for Southwest DeKalb against Clarkston when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 52-18 win. In that contest, Southwest DeKalb amassed a halftime lead of 27-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
