Baseball Recap: Triton Central's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Triton Central dropped their record down to 7-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 10-2 to the Indian Creek Braves. The Tigers were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the five matches prior), but the Braves' pitchers proved too tough.

Triton Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Sego, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Sego is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

As for Indian Creek, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.2 runs.

On Indian Creek's side, Landon Hamilton was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one double. Hamilton continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elijah Guyer, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Coming up, Triton Central will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Covenant Christian at 5:30 p.m. As for Indian Creek, they will head out to square off against Greenwood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
