Basketball Recap: Braden Suggs Key Part of Team Effort in Knights Win + How To Watch

Ardrey Kell won the last time they faced Marvin Ridge and things went their way on Friday too. The Knights came out on top against the Mavericks by a score of 72-64. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Ardrey Kell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braden Suggs out in front who shot 44% from the field to rack up 16 points and four steals. The game was Suggs' third in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Morrison, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 20 points and five boards.

Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matthew Rivlin, who shot 44% from the field en route to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. Henry Smith was another key player, putting up 21 points and six boards.

Ardrey Kell now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Marvin Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Ardrey Kell will head out to challenge Weddington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Marvin Ridge, they will host Covenant Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
