Coronado lost to Northwest back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Leopards came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Leopards.

The victory didn't come easy: Northwest scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 11-25, 25-19.

Mia Gallegos paced Coronado's offense, picking up six kills. Gallegos got some help from Dyntette Salazar and her seven assists. Salazar was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Coronado's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Northwest, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Looking ahead, Coronado will square off against Jemez Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northwest, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Tse' Yi' Gai on the 16th.
