Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackson Academy). They breezed past the St. Joseph Catholic Bruins to the tune of 55-8 on Friday. With the Raiders ahead 34-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Josef Walker was his usual excellent self, throwing for 248 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 30 yards and one touchdown. Those 248 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Austin Clark, who gained 85 total yards and two touchdowns.

The victory was the third in a row for Jackson Academy, bringing their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points over those games. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
