Basketball Game Preview: Hills Academy Knights vs. St. Teresa's Catholic Crusaders

Two dominant guards in Adrian Campbell and Dyland Rangel are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hills Academy Knights will take on the St. Teresa's Catholic Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hills Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully St. Teresa's Catholic likes a good challenge.

Hills Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Covington Academy by a score of 68-56. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

Hills Academy relied on the efforts of Campbell, who posted 33 points, and Tynor Parker, who scored 22 points. Campbell has become a key player for Hills Academy: the team is 9-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 2-4 otherwise.

Meanwhile, St. Teresa's Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Community Christian Academy on Thursday and fell 57-55.

Hills Academy will need to focus on slowing down Rangel, one of several St. Teresa's Catholic players who made an impact when they last played. He put up 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Richard, who had 16 points.

Hills Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points over those games. As for St. Teresa's Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
