Basketball Recap: Renton's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Renton came into Monday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past the Lindbergh Eagles with a 61-55 win on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Red Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was John Choul, who went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was James Huff, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards.

Renton's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8. As for Lindbergh, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Renton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-54 loss against McClintock on the 4th. As for Lindbergh, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 67-53 win against Foster on the 7th.
