Victoria Gators HomeSchool came into Friday's game looking for another win against Town East Christian, but Abel Esquivel wouldn't allow it. The Eagles walked away with a 58-45 victory over the Gators on Friday for which the team can thank Esquivel, who threw for 278 yards and six touchdowns while completing 71.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 212 yards and one score on only 15 carries. Town East Christian is 2-1 when Esquivel posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

The win made it two in a row for Town East Christian and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points over those games. As for Victoria Gators HomeSchool, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
