Recap: Drummond Trojans vs. Anaconda Copperheads
On Tuesday, Drummond was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-54 to Anaconda. While losing is never fun, Drummond can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Anaconda is ranked first).
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Rasor, who scored 12 points along with seven assists. Scott Parke was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Drummond's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Anaconda, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Drummond will head out on the road to face off against St. Regis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Anaconda will take on Thompson Falls in a holiday battle at TBD on Friday at.
