Football Recap: Antioch Beats Heritage for Their Fifth Straight Victory + How To Watch

Antioch extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 7-1. They put the hurt on the Heritage Patriots with a sharp 35-14 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Antioch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kiante Johnson and Cameren Hubler. Hubler also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Antioch, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Joaquin Stewart, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7. Despite 76 more yards than Antioch, the Patriots couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Although Heritage took the loss, they still got scores from Wilson Douglas Brown and Christian Adanandus.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antioch will square off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heritage, they will face off against Deer Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
