Volleyball Recap: Neenah Victorious

Neenah proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes. For the Rockets, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Blue Dukes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (62-60) Neenah actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 28-26, 15-11.

Eli Yoder paced Neenah's offense, picking up eight kills. Yoder got some help from Cam Diekfuss and his 22 assists. Colton Kreger controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Neenah pushed their record up to 11-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Whitefish Bay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Neenah didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Kimberly on the 18th. As for Whitefish Bay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Kenosha Tremper on the 18th.
