Basketball Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short

Brighton lost against Faith Training Christian Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bengals were outmatched by Faith Training Christian Academy and fell 63-24. The Bengals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-14.

Brighton's loss came despite strong showings from Reid Williams and Davis Wolfe. Williams posted four points and nine boards, while Wolfe earned eight points. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Brighton and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Faith Training Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Brighton will take on Bishop Noland Episcopal Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Faith Training Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Freedom Life Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
