Recap: A&M Consolidated Tigers vs. Eastwood Troopers
On Friday, A&M Consolidated had just enough and edged Eastwood out 42-40. The victory was all the more spectacular given A&M Consolidated's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1020th, while Eastwood is ranked 109th).
Several Troopers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marcus Bennett, who scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Edward Avila, who scored 9 points.
A&M Consolidated's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Eastwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.
A&M Consolidated will face off against Weimar at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastwood, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Coronado at 6:00 p.m.
