Meanwhile, Spanish Springs entered their tilt with McQueen on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They claimed a resounding 55-15 win over the Lancers. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Lancers are ranked 64th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Spanish Springs pushed their record up to 20-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.6 points over those games. As for Bishop Manogue, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.
