Volleyball Recap: Kenosha Tremper Takes a Loss

Kenosha Tremper came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Westosha Central Falcons. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost five in a row.

While Kenosha Tremper had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-20.

Braden Snyder paced Kenosha Tremper's offense, picking up 12 kills. Snyder got some help from Connor Sporer and his 19 assists.

Leading Westosha Central to victory were Brady Schmalfeldt and Grant Emerson. Schmalfeldt had 38 assists and four digs, while Emerson had 15 digs. That's the most digs Emerson has posted over his last six matchups.

Kenosha Tremper's defeat dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Westosha Central, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.

Kenosha Tremper and Westosha Central will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Trojans see the court they'll take on Whitnall at 6:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for Westosha Central, their break will end when they face Burlington at 6:30 p.m. on the 16th.
