Recap: Hampton Prep vs. Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy Eagles
Hampton Prep's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy at home and fell 99-44. Hampton Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-20.
Despite the loss, Hampton Prep still got an impressive performance from Alijah Walker, who scored 24 points. Walker scored a full 54.5% of Hampton Prep's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terran Brown, who scored six points.
Hampton Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.
Hampton Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Hills Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 23, 2024. Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face O'Dea on December 27th. O'Dea has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 549 points over their last eight matches.
