Hagerstown had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 24-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knightstown Panthers. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Hagerstown lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Kaagen Kendall. Despite the final result, he threw for 277 yards and three touchdowns. 88 of those passing yards were hauled in by Isaac Schmitz, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Knightstown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gage Broady, who picked up 205 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Broady's longest reception was for an incredible 83 yards. Another player making a difference was Bryor Carmichael, who threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes.

Hagerstown will venture away from home to challenge Centerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Knightstown, they will host Winchester Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
