Football Recap: Canton Cobras vs. Plymouth Wildcats
Canton had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-7 to make it five. They were beaten by the Plymouth Wildcats 68-0. The Cobras lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 49-20 score last time.
As for Plymouth, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plymouth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Sober, who rushed for 146 yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave Sober a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Andrae McSween was in the mix as well, providing Plymouth with two TDs.
