Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Skates Past New Dimensions with Ease

Faith Christian won the last time they faced New Dimensions and things went their way on Saturday too. The Faith Christian Lions simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat New Dimensions 68-40. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while New Dimensions are ranked 682nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Faith Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Brown, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 17 points and eight boards. Brown continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Torres, who went 6 for 14 en route to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Faith Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for New Dimensions, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Faith Christian has already played their next game, a 72-60 loss against City of Life Christian Academy on the 28th. New Dimensions has also already played their next contest (against Four Corners), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
