Baseball Recap: National Trail Comes Up Short

National Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Valley View Spartans, falling 12-1. If the Blazers were looking for revenge after losing 14-3 to the Spartans when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

National Trail saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Cordle, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

National Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Valley View, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. National Trail will welcome Ansonia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.31 runs per game on average), something the Blazers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Valley View, they will take on Eaton at 5:00 p.m. on May 7.
