Softball Game Preview: Harbor Pirates vs. Santa Cruz Cardinals

Harbor is 1-9 against Santa Cruz since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Harbor is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game last Thursday. They came up short against Soquel, falling 9-2.

Harbor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Monroe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was Monroe's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Santa Cruz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-1 to King City.

Santa Cruz's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Harbor, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Harbor might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Santa Cruz in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
