Grayslake Central posted their closest victory since September 27th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Lakes Eagles 2-1. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 13, 2021, but that streak is no more.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 26-24, 25-14.

Grayslake Central's win bumped their record up to 24-11. As for Lakes, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 25-10.

As of now, neither Grayslake Central nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
