Volleyball Recap: Fort Morgan Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fort Morgan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Firebirds from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Fort Morgan started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-20, 25-20, 25-17.

Ava Taylor paced Fort Morgan's offense, picking up 14 kills. Taylor got some help from Carmen Gonzales and her 27 assists. Ally Sailsbery controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Emma George had a dynamite game For Windsor Charter Academy., getting 20 digs and seven assists. That's the most assists George has posted since back in September.

Fort Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Windsor Charter Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Fort Morgan has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Weld Central on the 20th. As for Windsor Charter Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Sterling on the 23rd.
