Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Metuchen's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Metuchen had won two straight home games and Jason Woods did his part to make it three on Friday. The Metuchen Bulldogs came out on top against the Edison Eagles by a score of 48-35 thanks in part to Woods, who went 9 for 19 on his way to 18 points and eight boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played.

Luis Vigo was another key player, putting up seven points. Those seven points gave him a new career-high.

Metuchen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points per game. As for Edison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Metuchen will challenge Spotswood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Edison has already played their next game (against North Plainfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
