Fairport won the last time they faced Penfield and things went their way on Thursday too. The Red Raiders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots, sneaking past 2-1. Given Fairport's advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Penfield are ranked 72nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sean Griffin and Trevor Scoopa scored both of Fairport's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Fairport's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Penfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fairport will face off against rival Hilton at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. Meanwhile, Penfield is set to square off against their familiar foe Webster Schroeder at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
