Basketball Game Preview: Issaquah Eagles vs. Bellevue Wolverines

The Issaquah Eagles will challenge the Bellevue Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Issaquah is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Mount Si just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 60-58. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Wildcats are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, Bellevue had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 60-48 win over the Falcons.

Bellevue's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Issaquah, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.
