Softball Recap: Appleton West Takes a Loss

Appleton West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to the Oshkosh West Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-0 back in April.

Appleton West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaydence Gilbert, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Appleton West's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Oshkosh West, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Appleton West is set to challenge their familiar foe Kaukauna at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Oshkosh West will take on rival Neenah at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
