Soccer Game Preview: Cristo Rey vs. River Valley

The Cristo Rey Coyotes will face off against the River Valley Leopards at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cristo Rey is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5 goals per game this season.

River Valley better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Cristo Rey's game on Monday is any indication, that's when Cristo Rey really gets things going. The Coyotes never let King-Chavez Community get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Cristo Rey considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for River Valley's offense. They lost 3-0 to Victory Christian Academy on Tuesday. River Valley have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Cristo Rey's win bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1.

Cristo Rey was able to grind out a solid victory over River Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, winning 4-2. Do the Coyotes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Leopards turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
