Baseball Recap: Shikellamy Braves vs. Central Mountain Wildcats
Shikellamy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Mountain Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Shikellamy of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.
Mark Culp put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Culp has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
