Basketball Recap: Menominee Nation Victorious

Menominee Nation lost to Oconto back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Eagles came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 63-55.

Kenew Awonohopay was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Ishom, who went 6-for-7 on his way to 15 points.

The victory got Menominee Nation back to even at 1-1. As for Oconto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Menominee Nation will be playing at home against Wabeno/Laona at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oconto, they are taking a road trip to take on Algoma at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Blue Devils' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
