Volleyball Recap: Dunwoody Comes Up Short

Dunwoody was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Decatur Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

McKenna Willard paced Dunwoody's offense, picking up nine kills. Willard also shared the team's lead in assists with Alexa Keefe: they picked up seven each. Willard was also a major player on defense: she and Anna Stidsen shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Dunwoody's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Decatur, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

Dunwoody didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Woodward Academy on the 16th. As for Decatur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Paideia on the 17th.
