It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lutheran can now relate to. They fell just short of the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for Lutheran in their meetings with Cheyenne Mountain: they've now lost five in a row.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-1. As for Cheyenne Mountain, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4-4.

Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Evergreen at 4:00 p.m. Evergreen's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
