Softball Recap: Parsons Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Parsons Christian Academy's offense. They came up short against the Harvest Community Warriors on Friday, falling 26-0. Having soared to a lofty 38 runs in the game before, the Lions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Parsons Christian Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. The victory (which was Harvest Community's ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parsons Christian Academy will take on Old Plank Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th. Old Plank Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.8 runs per game on average), something Parsons Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Harvest Community, they will challenge Raines at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th. Harvest Community knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Raines likes a good challenge.
