Basketball Recap: Quinter Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Quinter had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the LaCrosse Leopards on Tuesday as they made off with a 52-28 victory. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 46-37 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quinter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braelyn Blackwill, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 20 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamry Getz, who shot 43% from the field en route to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Quinter was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as LaCrosse only posted seven.

LaCrosse lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Madison Morgan, who posted 12 points. Kendra Marvin was another key player, putting up six points.

Looking ahead, Quinter will head out on the road to face off against Victoria at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LaCrosse, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ellinwood. The game will give the Leopards their first taste of in-conference action this season.
