Softball Recap: Bunn Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Bunn and Farmville Central squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Bunn had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-2.

Peyton Alford was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bunn's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Farmville Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Bunn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Farmville Central, they will square off against South Granville on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Jaguars 3, the Vikings 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
