The Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool Nighthawks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 41-31 win over Christ Prep Academy. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool has scored all season.
Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sami Baum out in front who scored 14 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Baum has scored at least 25% of Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Sifford, who scored nine points.
Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool pushed their record up to 7-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Christ Prep Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool will challenge Centralia on Tuesday. Centralia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool is ranked 36th). As for Christ Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against KIPP Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
