Nuview Bridge extended the longest winning streak in Warrior (8 Man) this week by beating San Jacinto Valley Academy, 46-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Noli Indian was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, the Braves triumphed over West Shores 50-38.
Nuview Bridge's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dane Futrell threw for 122 and two touchdowns and Apolo Rivera had 90 yards receiving. On the ground Futrell chipped in 70 yards. Jay Williams helped Nuview Bridge's passing attack out by catching three balls for 28 yards.
Nuview Bridge's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Futrell has thrown for 442 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Rivera has eight catches for 202 yards. Futrell also leads the league in rushing with 494 yards.
A big matchup in Warrior (8 Man) this week will be when Jermaine Williams' team takes on Public Safety Academy. At the moment, the Knights are in first, while the Phoenix are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Nuview Bridge takes on Public Safety Academy. The Knights have allowed 88 points this season, while Will Mathews' team has given up 158. Nuview Bridge allowed 6 points last week as it topped the Wolves.
There should be lots of points scored when the Knights and the Phoenix face off this week.
