Softball Recap: Western Wayne Wildcats vs. Holy Cross Crusaders

Western Wayne extended their losing streak to 11 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-11-1. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holy Cross Crusaders. Looking ahead, Western Wayne will face off against Honesdale at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.13 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Holy Cross, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bristol at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Crusaders 2.3, the Warriors 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
