It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles challenge the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rocky Mountain Lutheran took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 49-37 victory over Hi-Plains.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rocky Mountain Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Harris, who posted 13 points and four steals. Harris has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Gavin Borchardt was another key player, putting up five points along with 18 boards and four blocks.
Rocky Mountain Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 13 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Front Range Baptist blew past Mile High Academy, posting a 65-19 win. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.
Rocky Mountain Lutheran better focus on containing Benjamin VanDenBerghe and Mark Sutton as the pair were huge in Front Range Baptist's win. VanDenBerghe went 9-for-16 to rack up 20 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds, while Sutton dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards. VanDenBerghe is becoming a predictor of Front Range Baptist's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't). Drew Colburn also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Front Range Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points over those games. Rocky Mountain Lutheran's record is now 6-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Rocky Mountain Lutheran has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 34.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Front Range Baptist struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Rocky Mountain Lutheran took a serious blow against Front Range Baptist in their previous meeting back in January, falling 65-27. Can Rocky Mountain Lutheran avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
