Softball Preview: Langley Saxons vs. Herndon Hornets
Langley is 10-0 against Herndon since May of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Langley Saxons will play host again on Thursday to welcome the Herndon Hornets, where first pitch is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Langley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Langley gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They never let George C. Marshall onto the board and left with a 7-0 win.
Norah Jacques was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 20 over seven innings pitched. Jacques has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 11 consecutive pitching appearances.
