Football Game Preview: Patrician Academy Saints vs. Morgan Academy Senators

The Patrician Academy Saints will face off against the Morgan Academy Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Morgan Academy will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Patrician Academy extended their winning streak to five last Friday. Everything went the Saints' way against Monroe Academy as they made off with a 37-13 win. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won four matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Ethan Carr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 197 yards and four scores while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 156 rushing yards. Remington Faile was another key back, rushing for 114 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Patrician Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 335 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 309 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Morgan Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past Bessemer Academy to the tune of 44-0 on Friday. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Senators had established a 30-point advantage.

Patrician Academy's record now sits at 5-0. As for Morgan Academy, their record is now 4-2.

Patrician Academy strolled past Morgan Academy when the teams last played back in August of 2023 by a score of 37-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
