Avery Tango of Northeast Metro RVT ran for the longest rushing play in Commonwealth - Large this season against Lowell Catholic last week. Tango's team bested the Crusaders as he sprinted for 91 yards on the play and finished with 140 in all.
Northeast Metro RVT added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Lowell Catholic, 50-20. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Northeast Metro RVT's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Troy Tartarini has thrown for 434 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Nick Giangregorio has 11 catches for 387 yards.
The Knights made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,437 from 7,126. The improvement was the result of a 50-20 victory over Rick Sampson's team last week.
