Recap: DC International Dragons vs. Smith Jewish Day School Lions

The DC International Dragons's and the Smith Jewish Day School Lions's game on Monday was close at halftime, but the DC International Dragons turned on the heat in the second half with 34 points. DC International was the clear victor by a 53-32 margin over the Lions.

DC International's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eva Waters led the charge by scoring 25 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Waters has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Davis, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.

DC International has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Smith Jewish Day School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

DC International will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in District of Columbia (Banneker is ranked tenth, while the Dragons are ranked sixth). Smith Jewish Day School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
