Softball Recap: Clio Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lake Fenton

Clio has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They fell 10-7 to the Lake Fenton Blue Devils. On the bright side, the seven- run performance marked the Mustangs' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Ashlyn LaFreniere made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Karlie Bicknell was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Clio's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lake Fenton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Clio is taking a road trip to challenge Goodrich at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Fenton, they will square off against New Lothrop at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
