Football Game Preview: Patrick County Cougars vs. Glenvar Highlanders + How To Watch

Patrick County hasn't had much luck against Glenvar recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Patrick County turned things around against Nelson County on Friday. They blew past the Governors 35-7. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, while Glenvar put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Radford. The Highlanders took their game with ease, bagging a 35-0 victory over the Bobcats. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Highlanders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Bobcats are ranked 156th).

Patrick County's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Glenvar, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Patrick County was taken down by Glenvar 49-7 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
