Softball Recap: Triad's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

It was a good run, but Triad unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Waterloo Bulldogs, falling 13-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since April 5, 2024.

Peyton Horn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Syd Horn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Waterloo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Triad will take on rival Civic Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Waterloo is set to face off against their familiar foe Mascoutah at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
